ICE Data Reveals 58K ‘Criminal’ Migrants Now Call NYC Home

New York Police Attacked by Migrant Mob Times Square Screen Image NYPD Video Dated 01/272/024
In September, The Gateway Pundit reported that New York City’s embrace of its sanctuary city status has had real-world, devasting consequences for New Yorkers.
Police sources shared shocking details with The New York Post, suggesting that a staggering estimate of as many as 75% of the people arrested in Midtown Manhattan over recent months for crimes including assault, robbery, and domestic violence are migrants.
Sanctuary City laws hamper police who are not allowed to work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on cases where the suspects are suspected of being in the country illegally.
Now, new stats from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) paint an even grimmer picture.

According to ICE data reviewed by The New York Post,  there are over 58,000 illegal migrants who are convicted felons or facing criminal charges on the streets of NYC.

New York is not alone in this threat.  The data also reveals that there are close to 670,000 in this category across the U.S.
The Post reports:
Of the 759,218 illegal-border crossers living in the Big Apple the feds were aware of as of Nov. 17, a jaw-dropping 58,626 — 7.7% — were either previously convicted of crimes or had criminal charges pending, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency data.

And of the 58,626 migrants with rap sheets, 1,053, nearly 2%, are “suspected or known gang members,” according to the agency.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn) lays the blame on soft-on-crime and lax border-control policies pushed by President Biden, failed Border Czar Kamala Harris, and other Democrats.
Malliotakis shared the alarming stats on X adding, “It’s shocking that Democrats have gone so far out of their way to harbor gang members, drug traffickers and other criminals who are in our country illegally.”

“In many cases, they’ve provided them with housing, food and healthcare. They need to stop using New Yorkers’ hard-earned tax dollars to shield criminals wreaking havoc on our streets and instead cooperate with ICE to have them deported.”

GOOD NEWS! Trump Officially Nominates Kash Patel For FBI Director

Kash Patel joins Jim Hoft to discuss the latest developments on Russiagate and more.
President Trump has officially nominated Kash Patel for the role of FBI Director in his next Administration.
This comes after rumors that deep-state hack Mike Rogers was in consideration for the role were quashed by longtime Trump adviser Dan Scavino.
Rogers, as The Gateway Pundit reported, conceded his highly questionable Senate race in Michigan despite Trump winning, and he was very vocal in trashing President Trump in 2020 for challenging the rigged election. He would be a horrible pick for FBI director, especially concerning election integrity.
Earlier this month, Congressman-elect Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) predicted that Patel would be selected, telling The Gateway Pundit, “He’ll do amazing at the FBI” and noting that “he’s been very loyal to President Trump since the first Russia Collusion Hoax.”

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post, commending Kash Patel’s career of “exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People.”

“He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution,” President Trump continued.
“This FBI will end the growing crime epidemic in America, dismantle the migrant criminal gangs, and stop the evil scourge of human and drug trafficking across the Border.”

Trump: I am proud to announce that Kashyap “Kash” Patel will serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and “America First” fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People. He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution. Kash did an incredible job during my First Term, where he served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council. Kash has also tried over 60 jury trials. This FBI will end the growing crime epidemic in America, dismantle the migrant criminal gangs, and stop the evil scourge of human and drug trafficking across the Border. Kash will work under our great Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to bring back Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity to the FBI.

Kash Patel’s impressive qualifications include several high-ranking positions in the intelligence and defense communities under President Trump.
When he was running counter-terrorism for President Trump, the president oriented counter-terrorism efforts to wipe out ISIS senior leadership and other key operatives. Patel further oversaw the rescuing of American hostages and detainees to return them to the United States.

As a terrorism prosecutor, Patel prosecuted ISIS, Al-Qa’ida, and other terrorist networks, and he was the lead prosecutor for the World Cup bombings in Uganda that killed an American and 76 people. While Patel was serving as Department of Defense Chief of Staff, they ended forever wars.
Patel recently joined Maria Bartoromo on Fox and declared his FBI will be largely focused on the “exposure of corruption.”
“Put out the documents, put out the evidence. We only have gotten halfway down the Russiagate hole,” he said.

This will be a huge step up from Chris Wray’s targeting of innocent Trump supporters, pro-lifers, concerned parents, and Christians.

It begins with a father watching his young daughter unwrap Christmas presents, a touching moment that sparks memories of her childhood.

As the scene unfolds, his wife gently urges to use his AirPods and iPhone to improve his hearing.

After putting them on, his hearing becomes far clearer and his memories of his daughter’s become more vivid.
The ad concludes with tearing up as he looks at his daughter, who is now a young woman, as she sings and plays on her guitar.

Such wholesome content is in glaring contrast to the ad recently released by the iconic British car brand Jaguar, which features which a handful of ethnically diverse and seemingly gender-fluid groups of individuals prancing around wearing bizarre pieces of clothing.
The ad also showed off the company’s “funky” new logo, ditching the iconic image of a leaping jaguar that has served it successfully for nearly 90 years.
It was unsurprisingly met with disgust by the public, who pointed out its shocking lack of taste and cultural awareness. The best came response came from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who asked “Do you sell cars?”

Uncle Sam Wants You to Recover Energy Materials from Wastewater

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) was founded to support moonshot projects in the realm of energy, with a portfolio that ranges from the edge of current capabilities to some pretty far out stuff. We’re not sure exactly where their newest “Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)” falls, but they’re looking for critical materials from the wastewater treatment process. [via CleanTechnica]
As a refresher, critical materials are those things that are bottlenecks in a supply chain that you don’t want to be sourcing from unfriendly regions. For the electrification of transportation and industrial processes required to lower carbon emissions, lithium, cobalt, and other rare earth elements are pretty high on the list.
ARPA-E also has an interest in ammonia-based products which is particularly interesting as industrial fertilizers can wreak havoc on natural ecosystems when they become run off instead of making it into the soil. As any farmer knows, inputs cost money, so finding an economical way to recover those products from wastewater would be a win-win. “For all categories, the final recovered products will need to include at least two targeted high energy-value materials, have greater than 90% recovery efficiency, and be commercially viable in the U.S. market.” If that sounds like the sort of thing you’d like to try hacking on, consider filling out an Applicant Profile.
If you’re curious about where we’re getting some of these materials from right now, checkout our series on Mining and Refining, including the lithium and cobalt ARPA-E wants more of. […]

New Report Says Liberal Women Are Sterilizing Themselves in Response to Trump’s Election

Liberal women are sterilizing themselves in response to President-elect Donald Trump’s win earlier this month, according to a new report from Newsweek.
The outlet spoke to five women who are so concerned about losing access to abortions that they are having their fallopian tubes removed over the election results.
“If I am to be denied any rights in the next four (or more) years, I will not give them up without a fight,” 28-year-old Texas resident Lydia Echols told Newsweek.
A 39-year-old from Washington, who asked to remain anonymous, told the outlet that she has already undergone a bilateral salpingectomy, removing her fallopian tubes, over Trump.
“I am not happy that I felt forced into a surgery I did not want to alter my body, I feel like the election tied my hands and forced me to be sterilized—that is horrible,” the unhinged liberal told Newsweek.

“I paid way too much attention to the vitriol Trump repeatedly spit during his previous term,” she continued, “and am keenly aware of the people he keeps around him and in his ear, who all seem to see women as incubators and possessions to subjugate.”
The woman said she scheduled the surgery in October and planned to cancel the appointment if Kamala Harris had won. Her husband already had a vasectomy in 2021.
“With Trump’s victory, we quickly learned that my choice to cancel the surgery had been taken from me,” she said. “We both believed that I had no choice but to proceed to ensure that I can protect my health should I be assaulted during a Trump presidency, should my husband’s vasectomy fail and/or should my hormonal birth control become inaccessible.”

“This isn’t a wanted procedure, but one of necessity due to the politics and subjugation coming our way.”
Georgia resident Morgan Wood, 24, told Newsweek that she has a consultation to be sterilized on December 5.
“I have no idea what Trump will and won’t follow through on,” Wood said, “I was already upset when Roe v Wade was overturned. Living in the South, our prospects for protections and resources aren’t great if they aren’t otherwise ensured.”

Wood added, “talks of complicating the birth control and abortion access processes even further made this feel like the only option. I need everything handled, and ideally before power begins shifting.”
Ashley Hedden, 36, of Kentucky, claims to be “asexual” and told the outlet that the only way she would get pregnant would be if she was raped, and wants to be sterilized for that reason.
“The only way I would get pregnant is if I were raped, and I refuse to be forced to carry the result of a man’s violence against my will,” she said. “I have seen that this country will not protect people that can get pregnant, and have seen the reports of the deaths of pregnant women that were refused medical care. I refuse to be a person that ends up not being able to get medical care just because I own a uterus with some cells growing in it.”

Florida resident Eden Ixora, 25, said she decided to get sterilized over a massively viral joke made by podcaster Nick Fuentes in which he said, “Your body, my choice.”
“All the political noise is what really finalized my decision for me,” she said. “It wasn’t just Trump winning but rather all the online rhetoric that followed.”
“For me it was a call to action,” Ixora said. “A need to get this locked in so I don’t have to live in fear that at any moment some random guy can completely destroy my life. For me the idea of getting pregnant is worse than death. I’m doing what I can to protect my right to choose. I am choosing me.”

Trump does not support a national abortion ban, writing on Truth Social last month that he would veto such an effort.
The president-elect wrote, “I would not support a federal abortion ban, under any circumstances, and would, in fact, veto it, because it is up to the states to decide based on the will of their voters (the will of the people!)” […]

The Minnesota Lynx may have just made the best move of the WNBA offseason

Last month, the Minnesota Lynx came a possession short of a WNBA championship.
Then, they saw two key personnel depart the franchise in favor of other opportunities — assistant coach Katie Smith took a coaching role with her alma mater, Ohio State, while general manager Clare Duwelius pivoted to become Unrivaled’s general manager.
But, the Lynx made a series of moves to help fortify Cheryl Reeve’s coaching staff. On Saturday, the organization announced two new assistant coach hires: former standout player Lindsay Whalen and long-time WNBA coach Eric Thibault.
Whalen, a four-time WNBA champion with the Lynx who served as head coach at the University of Minnesota for five seasons, was a sideline staple throughout Lynx’s Finals run, and now will officially rejoin the organization in a new capacity.
Eric Thibault, who served as head coach of the Washington Mystics before fired earlier this fall, finds a new home in the WNBA.
“I am excited to add both Eric and Lindsay to our coaching staff,” said Reeve, who has served as the head coach of the Lynx since 2010. “Eric has vast experience coaching in the WNBA as both a head and an assistant coach and is a WNBA Champion. Lindsay adds a unique perspective as a Lynx legend and Naismith Hall of Famer. I look forward to working with both in our quest for another WNBA Championship.”
Thibault was let go by the Mystics after two seasons as head coach. Prior to that, he served as an assistant for 10 seasons, under his father, Mike’s, leadership.

Whalen, a franchise legend, hasn’t coached since 2023, when she completed a stint at the University of Minnesota.
Lindsay Whalen brings the perspective of a former player
Lindsay Whalen was the point guard on four Lynx championship teams. For her career, she averaged 11.5 points and 4.9 assists per game. Her jersey was retired by Minnesota in 2019, and she was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023.
Whalen is not the first former player on the coaching staff; Rebekka Brunson, who was Lynx teammates with Whalen for nine season — including the four championships — has served as an assistant coach on the Lynx for five seasons.
“I think it’s what makes us so unique at Minnesota; we have people who’ve been through what we’re going through,” Collier told ESPN’s Alexa Philippou. “They won so many championships in the place they’re coaching and we’re playing at now.”
Whalen was often seen coaching up the Lynx from the sidelines as she sat courtside as games throughout the playoffs, even traveling to New York for Game 5.

She is one of the winngest player in league history; she’s amassed 323 career victories (second-most all-time behind Sue Bird, 333) and 54 postseason wins (second-most all-time behind Brunson, 57). Whalen should help elevate Courtney Williams, who effectively served as the Lynx’s point guard last season.
Eric Thibault brings extensive WNBA coaching experience
Thibault’s roots with the Mystics are deep, and so is his understanding of the WNBA landscape.
“It was very clear the team continued to trust in what they were doing, trusted each other, trusted the leadership of Eric,” Reeve said to ESPN.
Whalen played for Mike Thibault for six seasons on the Connecticut Sun, and their families have long been intertwined.
“I’m so excited to be back with the Lynx and back with Coach and Becky [Rebekkah Brunson],” Whalen said. “Eric and I have also known each other for a long time, and for me, I couldn’t imagine joining a better staff as I return to coaching and get my first opportunity to coach in the WNBA. We have a special group with this team and I can’t wait to get to work.”
For those keeping track, Thibault becomes the second fired head coach to find a new home in the WNBA. Curt Miller, who was let go by the Sparks, is the new general manager of the Dallas Wings. (Stephanie White, who departed the Connecticut Sun on her own accord, was named the new head coach of the Indiana Fever soon after).
On the flip side, Teresa Weatherspoon (Chicago Sky), Tanisha Wright (Atlanta Dream), and Latricia Trammell (Atlanta Dream) all have yet to announce their next moves in the WNBA — if one is to come, that is. Weatherspoon will be coaching in Unrivaled during the WNBA offseason, though that doesn’t preclude her from also getting involved in the WNBA.

At a moment in which so many teams are completely rebuilding their coaching staffs, the Lyxn will benefit from the continued leadership of Cheryl Reeve, one of the most decorated head coaches in WNBA history. At the same time, the organization very likely nailed their two assistant coaching hires, bringing in a former player who has already showcased a meaningful connection with the players, while also hiring someone with extensive and proven WNBA experience. With the majority of Minnesota’s core returning, Lindsay Whalen and Eric Thibault should help bolster the Lynx’s title chances next season. […]

It’s Like LightScribe, But For Floppies!

Back when CD-Rs were the thing, there were CD burner drives which would etch images in the unoccupied areas of a CD-R. These so-called LightScribe drives were a novelty of which most users soon tired, but they’re what’s brought to our mind by [dbalsom]’s project. It’s called PNG2disk, and it does the same job as LightScribe, but for floppies. There’s one snag though; the images are encoded in magnetic flux and thus invisible to the naked eye. Instead, they can be enjoyed through a disk copying program that shows a sector map.
The linked GitHub repository has an example, and goes in depth through the various options it supports, and how to view images in several disk analysis programs. This program creates fully readable disks, and can even leave space for a filesystem. We have to admit to being curious as to whether such an image could be made physically visible using for example ferrofluid, but we’d be the first t admit to not being magnetic flux experts.
PNG2disk is part of the Fluxfox project, a library for working with floppy disk images. Meanwhile LightScribe my have gone the way of the dodo, but if you have one you could try making your own supercaps. […]

Raiders coach on final play: ‘We heard a whistle on our sideline’

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As his team’s frantic last play from scrimmage was unfolding against the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, Raiders coach Antonio Pierce was under the impression officials had called the play dead.
“We heard a whistle on our sideline,” Pierce said Saturday, less than 24 hours after the Raiders’ gut-wrenching 19-17 loss.

Had Pierce’s initial understanding of the situation held up, the fumbled shotgun snap between Raiders center Jackson Powers-Johnson and quarterback Aidan O’Connell would have been moot.
The Raiders would have gotten another chance to run a third-down play against the Chiefs. Or, just brought on kicker Daniel Carlson to attempt a game-winning field goal from 54 yards out.
But after the officials huddled, they cited the Raiders (2-10) for an illegal shift rather than an illegal procedure. The Chiefs (11-1) immediately declined the penalty, which meant the fumble Nick Bolton recovered stood — as did one of the most improbable Raiders losses in years.
Pierce, who said he would not have done anything differently tactically on the final play, said the Raiders will send a complaint to the NFL, as they typically do after most games when concerns are raised.
The NFL, according to Pierce, typically responds within 24 to 36 hours.
“We’ll read it and learn from it,” said Pierce.
Big pass rush
The Raiders registered a season-high four sacks against Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Friday, the most they have had since Week 18 last year against the Denver Broncos. It was the 30th straight game the Raiders have recorded at least one sack.
The key?
Getting help alongside Maxx Crosby, who had one sack, two tackles for loss and four of the Raiders’ 12 quarterback hits.
K’Lavon Chaisson added three tackles, 1½ sacks, one tackle for loss and three quarterback hits. Zach Carter added two tackles and a sack, and Adam Butler had six tackles and a half-sack.
Pierce was impressed.
“We just talked about being relentless. No different than every year we play Kansas City with Patrick,” said Pierce. “It takes everybody. It can’t be the Maxx Crosby show.”
Injuries to Malcolm Koonce and Christian Wilkins have reduced what was expected to be a dominant Raiders pass rush. But on Friday, the Raiders finally put together a solid group effort.
“Just the overall rush coordination, rush plan. The strain, the finish,” Pierce said. “I thought they all had some great opportunities, some great rushes where we were winning.”
O’Connell’s huge day
Playing in his first game after missing over a month with a fractured right thumb, Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns. The last time a Raiders quarterback threw for more than 340 yards without an interception was Derek Carr in 2021.
O’Connell’s 116.4 passer rating on 35 pass attempts was the best rating for a Raiders quarterback with that many throws since Carr in 2021. O’Connell’s four games with a passer rating of 100 or better over his first 15 starts is the most in franchise history.
O’Connell said he would have traded it all for a win.
“It’s been a hard season,” O’Connell said. “I feel really bad for the guys who work so hard. I’ve been out for five weeks, and it’s been hard to watch because I know how hard the guys work throughout the week. It’s tough to stomach right now. But again, I couldn’t be more proud of our coaching staff and our players. It was a great game except for the last play.”

Abbi Pulling clinches F1 Academy Drivers’ Championship at Qatar Grand Prix

The old saw in motorsports holds that “second place is the first loser.”
But that was not the case for Abbi Pulling in the first F1 Academy race at the Qatar Grand Prix. Pulling finished second behind Doriane Pin, but it was all she needed to clinch the F1 Academy Drivers’ Championship.
Pulling delivered a dominant performance this season, capturing seven race victories and finishing on the podium each of the first ten races of the F1 Academy campaign She has also swept the weekend twice, doing so in Miami back in May, and at the Singapore Grand Prix the last time the F1 Academy was in action.

Thanks to that incredible run of form Pulling arrived Qatar with a commanding lead in the F1 Academy standings, with 245 points on the season. That gave her a 95-point lead over Pin, who drives for Mercedes, when the weekend began.
Meaning that to clinch a title Pulling just needed to finish second behind Pin, or third behind a victorious Pin while capturing the bonus point for the fastest lap.

Pulling qualified third for the first F1 Academy race at the Qatar Grand Prix, marking the first time all season the Alpine driver was not at least on the front row. That put her behind Pin, who qualified in pole position for both races at the Qatar Grand Prix, as well as Maya Weug.
Off the start, Pulling was aggressive off the line, getting a good launch and settling into second behind Pin, and ahead of Weug who seemed to be struggling for pace through the opening six turns on Lap 1. Pin began to pull away from Pulling, building a gap of over a second ahead of Pulling by Lap 2.
But Pulling was similarly pulling away from Weug, and given what she needed to clinch the Drivers’ title, she was likely content to settle into second and watch the laps tick down. While she was more than two seconds behind Pin by the halfway point, she was also more than four seconds ahead of Weug, putting her within striking distance of locking down the title.
With five laps remaining Pulling remained in second, over three seconds behind Pin but still with a sizeable lead over Weug. On Lap 12 the team advised her that she had a four-second gap ahead of Weug, and that she just needed to “bring it home” to the checkered flag.
Moments later the yellow flag came out for Bianca Bustamante, as the McLaren driver spun off the racing line and into the gravel. She was able to rejoin the fight at the back of the grid, and racing resumed.
“Two more laps, just keep it off the kerbs,” came the warning from the Alpine pit wall to Pulling on the penultimate lap.
Finally, Pin took the checkered flag with Pulling more than five seconds behind her, but having done enough to take second, and the Drivers’ title. The celebrations began down in Alpine’s garage, and those celebrations will likely go into the night.
Even with a race tomorrow.
With that title, Pulling also secures a fully-funded GB3 seat with Rodin Motorsport for the 2025 season. […]
