Iran Fires Retaliatory Strikes At US Base In Syria – WWIII Escalation Continues

After an American contractor was killed and five American troops were injured in an alleged Iran-backed attack in Syria on Thursday, US shadow president Joe Biden approved of US strikes on facilities “affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).”

On Friday, the Iran-backed fighters reportedly responded by launching several missiles at an American base located in northeast Syria.

Biden administration NSC Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said on Friday, “We’re not seeking a conflict with Iran,” adding, “Iran should not be involved in supporting these attacks on our facilities or on our people.”

Biden Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told the press, “As President Biden has made clear, we will take all necessary measures to defend our people and will always respond at a time and place of our choosing. No group will strike our troops with impunity.”

No casualties or injuries have been reported in connection with the Iran-backed strikes thus far.

While mainstream media largely ignores US involvement in Syria, journalist Jack Posobiec questioned why American troops are stationed in Eastern Syria in the first place.

This tension comes at a time when Iran is cooperating with Russia in its fight against Ukraine and the US-Iran nuclear deal is at a standstill.

Meanwhile, Biden’s military “leaders” are focused on ensuring LGBTQ rights are at the center of the administration’s foreign policy decisions.
