Robinson Armament Adds New XCR Caliber Options

Robinson Armament has two new calibers available in the XCR rifle. Now, both the 8.6 Blackout and 6mm ARC are available for fans of those cartridges. Robinson Armament has some other updates as well, so let’s jump in.

News @ TFB:

The XCR family has two members. The XCR-L uses intermediate cartridges and AR-pattern magazines, while the XCR-M uses short-action calibers and SR-25 magazines. Both are piston-operated, with ambidextrous controls and user-swappable barrels. The XCR-L is already available in 5.56 NATO, .300 BLK, 6.8 SPC, 5.45×39, .224 Valkyrie, 7.62×39, and 6.5 Grendel, so 6MM ARC is about the only AR caliber that is not already available.

Moving to larger calibers, the XCR-M can be had in .308 Winchester, .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .243 Winchester. 8.6 Blackout is a logical addition, and it is sort of the step-brother of the .300 Blackout. Whatever caliber the end user is looking for, Robinson Armament offers a lot of customization options. Buyers can choose various handguard or gas system lengths, stocks, and muzzle devices.

In other news, Robinson’s latest update says that delivery times are down to 4 to 6 weeks for most items. And, if cash is a little tight, they now accept crypto as a payment method.

From the manufacturer:

XCR Delivery Times:  Our customers really like our product and our company; their main complaint is delivery times.   We worked hard last year to improve our plant.   We are delivering almost everything around 4 to 6 weeks as planned.  Some items even faster.

XCRs in New Calibers: You asked for it, we listened.  XCRs in 8.6 Blackout and 6mm ARC are being made right now for shipment early next month.   We’ve modified some of the the Builders on our website to cover these new calibers.  We also now offer a Mid Length XCR-M.
