The RF2/Level III+ plates are made of a special composite aimed at absorbing bullet impacts. They’re coated in an olive drab Polyurethane coating and have a level III+ (NIJ STANDARD 0101.07 RF2) rating. They are multi-strike capable, and Hyperion claims they’ll take up to six rounds. They’re sold as single plates and weigh less than five pounds each.
